ReplyDeleteThe whole texting/phone ringing thing is annoying while on a date and anywhere where attention is needed to be had. Some restaurants actually require cell phones be put on silent as to not be rude. People need to show some cell phone etiquette and not act like addicts feeding their fix.

When I am on the train home I dont really care about what Angela's boyfriend did and how much of a dog he is or why your cat ran away or whatever...

And if you wanted people to know who you are past that in the URL section you can copy and past the link that comes up in the address bar when you are on your face book profile page. OK Angel listen, I got the flowers on my lunch break at work WAY before I even went home. On my way home her and I were on the phone talking and then she piss me off. So when I got in the house I just put them on the bed. Se got in the house like five minutes after me. But she acted like I shouldn't have been mad which made me more mad because I had surprised her with the flowers. She could of at least apologizes or gave me that speech about she is sorry that I am made at her point of view on the matter.
ReplyDeleteHey everyone. The flowers were bought because of what I had done for him that morning. And he was pissed at me because I didn't agree with him while we were on the phone, and he felt like I just don't agree with him EVER. So he came home left the flowers on the bed I picked them up and tried to hug and kiss him and he said he was pissed at me. I personally didn't think our little disagreement was that serious to ruin his whole day, but apparently it was and I've apologized.

ReplyDeleteMy parents for one, they are opposites in many ways, yet managed 53yrs together. I have many family members with long marriages and within my generation. I think people need to look beyond the *fluttering of attraction* in the beginning of what each aspires to. If there are too many differences going in, if t makes it so much easier for those things to erupt after the excitement simmers down,thus the quick thought of I think I need to get out. Divorce has become far too acceptable, instead of working out a balance. I may have better insight in another 10yrs .. lol

ReplyDeleteAnd for the couple thing. It totally depends. I think it is important to have similar values, but thats hard to find. I would say Matt and I are complete opposites and it would be easier to have someone to agree with, but then life would be boring and he gets me to see things from a different point of view. And people change so you never really know what your getting into. I know opposites that have lasted a long time and I know people that are exactly the same that have lasted a long time. It depends on the couple and if they want it to last.

ReplyDeletei still dont get what's funny about it. its very true. For example on both sides of my family, my moms parents were very similar, grew up with similar values and morals, etc., but things changed. they got married very young. my grandfather had multiple affairs but my grandmother stayed faithful. they were married until the day he died. they had 7 kids together and would still be together if he was alive. I can tell she is much happier now than she was when he was alive. that may sound wrong but she can do whatever she wants now and not have to worry about taking care of him or any of his needs. yeah she could have left him 20 years ago when this was going on but she didnt. i never knew any of this stuff until he died, and i always thought they were the perfect couple and thats what i wanted to be like when i got older. things happen and the way you react to them is what makes the relationship stronger or weaker. are you able to sort things out and forgive your spouse or are you going to hold grudges forever.
ReplyDeletenow my grandparents on my dads side are complete opposite. other than then fact that they both speak russian they have nothing in common. they had problems when it came to raising their kids because they had different views, they dont like doing the same things at all. my grandma is a bit of a beauty queen diva and likes to spend a lot of money on pointless things. my grandfather is the complete opposite. he invested in the stock market and has millions of dollars and he likes to save his money and only spend it on necessities. i couldnt tell you what hes saving for because they already have multiple houses, plenty of money fore retirement, the kids are grown up, and hes getting old. so im not sure... they have had separate bank accounts for a very long time because he didnt want her to have access to his money. he still pays for all the bills and the things she needs but doesnt allow her to make the purchases she wants like if she wanted a designer bag or whatever. shes only allowed the basics.
either way both couples have lasted a very long time... so i think it works both ways depending on what you make of it and how much you are able to compromise.
it doesnt depend on how much sex they have, it depends on how much good sex they have. bad sex is worse than no sex at all. atleast in my opinion.

ReplyDeleteOk here is my take on the couples thing. I feel like whoever came up with the phase opposites attract left out, But for how long? I feel like if you meet some one that is heavily attractive in your eyes and you date them and they are the opposite as you are but you get a long and they are a good person then you have a good thing going right? BUT what about when that attraction starts to fade like when you get older or just due to life setting in? Then what is the great joy of being together? If you love car shows and they hate them who do you find your self going with? When do you connect? What if your self life is on the low end?

Now I am sure that can be different for every couple out there but I just feel that it would be nice to share more than not with the person that you are trying to spend your life with.
For all of us we are only trying to spend our lives with someone until life is over and we have already spent it together.
i agree with that ant. but i think the thing that those couples have to keep in mind is that there are so many new opportunities out there that neither of you may have ever tried so try new things together and it will give you something to talk about. you might not enjoy each others number one passions in life and you also cant spend every waking minute with the other person. well you could, but its just not healthy. i hate those couples that only spend time with each other and drop their friends off the face of the earth. involve more people.
ReplyDeleteplus there is always something new to learn about the other person. you can never know someone 100%. when matt and i first got together we really didnt have much in common other than sex. so it was fun in the beginning but there was a point where things started to get boring. thats when we started trying new things. i would do things with him that i didnt think i would like and he would try new things with me that he didnt think he would like. for example i used to dislike video games and i had to try many different games before we finally came across a few that we like to play together. i also used to think i wouldnt like buffy or angel because i didnt like the whole vampire scene, but i watched them and ended up loving them. we watched each season from both series and it gave us something to do and talk about and we both liked it.
i also believe you can only be happy if you can be satisfied with what you have. if you cant then move on.

OK that I agree with but if they share that much in common or just like to be around each other that much like {Lamont and Angel}well hey more power to them BUT YOU use to be with Matt for ever in a day and I'm guessing that you have this new opinion on a relationship from your own experience from being with Matt all of the time. Now as for people who push their friends to the side well that is what Matt did to me and even now we still don't really see each other anymore. (work) and the dude works two jobs. like this week hes working his mon-fri 9-5 and barnes and noble wed-sat 6- close and hes doesnt get home til about 12 or later so i cant help the fact that you dont spend much time together. and then i get up at 5 in the morning and go to school in the city and usually get back around 6, so if im lucky i catch him for 5 minutes before his second job and if hes not too tired when he gets home we watch an episode of skins, or heroes and do it all over again.

ReplyDeleteTouching back to the opposites thing .. I knew getting with my husband there were just cultural difference alone, he is from OK and I'm from Philly. A huge culture shock in some ways. He had no ties here and being an OTR truck driver really did not socialize much or stay close to friends back in OK, (a very small town that just got it's first traffic light a few yrs ago). You don't realize just how many difference until after you've been together for awhile. From food to music we are on polar opposites for the most part, but still together.
@Kerrie I do remember that night at the party but I was not in that conversation with either you, Keda or Christina. But Kerrie I do remember what you did say to my wife that was uncalled for. But it's cool we already squashed it :)

The actual music Devante created puts Keith Sweat's music to shame. I can listen to Jodeci music today and hear chords I have never heard before and please believe I have listened to everything they've put out a MILLION times. I'm big on the music, not necessarily the lyrics....
And Luther spans over multiple decades...He is not to be compared..lol

ReplyDeleteNothing compares to R&B, the lyrics, the music, the old school essence about it when music was real. I like mostly all types to some degree other then hardcore anything, whether it be rock/rap/alternative.
