OK here is today's question, number 84:
ReplyDeleteIf a month before your wedding your wealthy fiance suggested drawing up a prenuptial agreement specifying the financial terms of any divorce, how would you react? What kind of terms do you think would be fair in such an agreement?
im wit it...my terms are simple..... once u go outside this relationship its a wrap u payin me... if we divorce after 2 years of marriage u payin me.... point blank u payin for negthing tht aint love until death do us part
ReplyDeletelol @ Ashley! Well for me I wouldnt get a pre-nup cuz once Iam married I plan on stayin that way...I m old school I guess...any probs in the .marriage u just have to pray. Thats jus my beliefs.
ReplyDeleteyea but men these days r crazy.... n im serious bout my feelins but if u hurt me or think u jus gna up n leave me for whteva reason.. u payn me for my hurt n in the meantime il still b prayin
ReplyDeleteOK so I am 34 and on my second marriage now. So this is how I would like it to go: I don't want anything from you that I didn't help create. If we bought something together then we will just have to figure out how to split it or hell flip a... coin! But other than that I don't believe in people getting money just because the marriage didn't work out. Unless you were only marrying me for my money and because it doesn't work out now you feel that you are entitled to what you were trying to gain, then I guess maybe you still deserve nothing! If the shoe was on the other foot I would want it to be the same way for me. And Now Your Momma Knows!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Anthony....I don't want anything that you had before me and I didn't help pay for. Now if I helped pay, that's different. Whatever we built together I'm going to want my fair share.
ReplyDeleteDon't have a problem with prenups....as long as they are fair to both parties.
@Ashley - so if you married a regular dude making regular money, how much do you think he should pay if he cheats on you?
ReplyDeleteI would put a huge life insurance claim on her :-D
ReplyDelete@Hermine - so if your husband is cheating and tells you that he wants to leave you for this other woman do you still say "Iam married I plan on stayin that way and any probs in the .marriage u just have to pray?
ReplyDelete@angel.... my heart is worth gold.... so idk...but nebody i plan on marryin is goin to empire becuz i plan on helpin him achive more thn jus a average dude....i don do average
ReplyDelete@Ashley - oh OK. Are you going to tell your future husband that any infidelity is going to cost him before marriage?
ReplyDeleteAwww this is exactly why I don't think I'm ever getting married again. One of the people in my unit just got divorced and his wife is getting half his pension. HELL NO I worked my whole life in the army and now you think you deserve half NO... way so I actually feel bad for the men in this situation. I mean what if the woman is broke and she went outside the marriage then what the husband is out of luck of getting some kind of settlement for his loss. But us women think because we got hurt we are entitled to get paid cause we're hurt I just don't agree with that. But I would happily sign as long as the pre-nup was fair meaning whatever we build together gets split.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to get paid for heartache......your marriage is a business transaction so the prenup is a must.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Amber. Even if my wife cheated on me like 50 billion times I still don't feel entitled to the money that she earned on her own. I just only want what is mine and that's it.
ReplyDeleteamen to that Ashley!
ReplyDelete@Anthony- I have been in that situation and I don't think it ever crossed my mind to say "u need to pay me for this!" I just ended it and said he will need to pay for the divorce. That's it.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I could go back and ask for some ...money and put it towards me and Bomont's wedding?
OK Hermine so answer my question?
ReplyDeleteI had the same situation I was offered alimony but sorry my pride won't let me take what's not mine or let him think because he paid me that what he did is fine. I'll just walk away with my head high and say I don't need your ass for anything!! lol
ReplyDelete@Angel lol! Well maybe you would want to do that but only for that knowing that you had a time machine :)
ReplyDeletewho cares!!!! Lets move on to something intresting.....tired of the dam questions!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is everyone doing for Christmas?
yes Anthony its for better n for worse so I would talk to hm c wat the prob is. If he wants to leave I cnt stop him Id pray for him..cuz prayer really helps. Yet if he wants a divorce he can file not I. I wouldnt remarry to b honest unless the Big man arranges it.
ReplyDeleteSo if he files for a divorce would you accept it and sign over to agree or would you just not agree to it?
ReplyDelete@Kerrie so what is on your mind?
